The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of integrated quality management on service quality and patient satisfaction. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research, in which to obtain objective, valid, and reliable data with the aim of being able to find, prove and develop knowledge, so that it can be used to understand, solve and anticipate problems that occur using the path analysis method. Effect of Burnout and Work Life Balance on Job Satisfaction and Its Impression on the Performance of Employees at the Boven Digoel Regional General Hospital. (Supervised by Abdul Rahman Kadir and Nurdjanah Hamid). This study aims to determine the effect of burnout and work life balance on the performance of employees of the Boven Digoel Regional General Hospital both directly and indirectly with job satisfaction as a mediating variable. This research is a quantitative study using a questionnaire to collect data related to predetermined variables and then processed using the help of SmartPLS software with a structural equation model (SEM) method. The results found that Burnout has no positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, there is a positive and significant effect of work-life balance on employee job satisfaction, there is a positive and significant influence of Burnout variables on employee performance, there is no positive and significant effect Work life balance has an influence on employee performance, there is a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction variables on employee performance, Burnout does not have a negative and significant effect on the performance of Boven Digoel Regional Hospital Employees through job satisfaction, there is no positive and significant effect on Work life balance on employee performance at General Hospitals Boven Digoel area through job satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of individual characteristics, organizational characteristics on work motivation, to determine the effect of individual characteristics, organizational characteristics on performance in the regional secretariat of Boven Digoel district, and to determine the effect of individual characteristics and organizational characteristics on performance through work motivation. The research approach used quantitative research, the location of the research at ASN in Boven Digoel Regency, Papua. The population and sample of the study were 89 people with saturated sampling technique. This study aims to see 1. The effect of commitment on employee performance 2. The effect of trust on employee performance in the regional secretariat of Bouven Digoel Regency. Based on information obtained from the Human Resources Division, the problems seen in the company are generally employee indiscipline. This study focuses on the locus of the Boven Digoel District Social Service Office. Based on the observations of researchers in January - October 2019, it was found that several employees left the room or office during working hours and procrastinated in completing work, this would hinder the work of other employees and the time spent completing work. The population of this study were 45 employees of the Social Service Office of Boven Digoel Regency, as many as 45 people were sampled in this study. The data analysis technique used in this study was multiple regression analysis. The results of the study indicate that all independent variables partially with a value for each variable for supervision of 0.600, the innovation strategy of 0.351 has a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable, while the value of Constante parameter is 2.032. The coefficient of determination data () shows that the performance variable can be explained by the independent variables, namely the monitoring and innovation strategy of 74% and the remaining 26% of other independent variables that are not examined in this study.R^2 Keywords: Employee planning, inhibiting factors, management planning.
This research focuses on knowing knowledge management in improving employee performance, especially in the Jair area, which is still quite underdeveloped in terms of management competency development. This research will be conducted in Jair District, Boven Digoel Regency, Papua, between November - December 2019. The population in this study were all employees. In Jair District, Boven Digoel Regency, which has 32 employees and the sample used in this research is saturated sample or census so that the entire population in this study is considered as respondents, namely 32 respondents. From the results of the calculation of the T test partially t count for the independent variable has a positive and significant effect and obtained an F-count of 14,817 (table 4. 6 ANOVA) and using the level of significance (significant level) of 5% shows that personal knowledge (X1), Job Procedure variables (X2), technology (X3) have a simultaneous or joint effect on employee performance variables (Y). The result of the determination test of the R Square value is 0.614, which means that the Personal knowledge variable, Job procedure, technology can explain the employee performance variable by 61.4% and the remaining 38.6% which is another variable that is not examined in this study. The Management Information System, which requires data collection on employees and public services in providing up to date and transparent information, becomes an obstacle for every employee in the recording process.In this study, the analysis method used was path analysis (PATH).. The population was 4,398 and families. 2,418. The sample in this study was taken using quota sampling.used by 396 residents with an error rate of 5%.This research will be conducted in Yaniruma Village, Yaniruma District, Boven Digoel Regency which is located on Jalan. Trans Papua KM. 2The results of this study indicate that the independent variable partially has a significant positive effect on the data: the effect of management information systems on innovation shows a coefficient value of 0.871 (positive), the t statistic value is 29,787 which is greater than t-table 1.66 and P values which are 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. The influence of management information systems on the quality of public services shows a coefficient value of 0.355 (positive), the t statistical value is3,059which is greater than t-table 1.66 and P values which are 0.002 which is smaller than 0.05. the influence of innovation on the quality of public services shows a coefficient value of 0.591 (positive), the t statistical value is5,484which is bigger than t-table 1.66 and P values which is 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. The purpose of this study is to assess the effect personality has on purchasing behavior among in Selangor area. Personality was defined in terms of the big five personality traits, agreeableness, and extraversion, openness to experience, conscientiousness and neuroticism. A sample of 200 consumers was drawn from the special reference youth in Selangor area. Multiple regression analysis was used in testing the hypotheses. The study shows the personality significantly influences purchasing behavior and agreeableness was the strongest of the five predictor variables while neuroticism was the weakest. The study also reveals that five variables have significant moderating effect on the influence of personality on purchasing behavior.
The study determined the relationship between the parental socio-economic status and the academic performance of College of Teacher Education (CTE) students in Surigao del Sur State University Main Campus, Philippines. The descriptive-evaluative study was done on 198 CTE students who were enrolled in 2nd to 4th year level of SDSSU Main in the School Year 2018-2019 through universal sampling. The Socio-Economic Status Scale (SES) used was constructed and standardized by Rajbir Singh et al. and previous General Point Average (GPA) Records from the Registrar’s office were used to collect data. Data were analyzed using Frequency Count, Pearson Product Moment Correlation, and One Way ANOVA. The study revealed that most of the CTE students belong to low socioeconomic status. No significant relationship was found between socioeconomic factors of the parents and the academic performance of their children. On the other hand, there is no significant difference between the academic performance of the students when they were grouped according to high, middle and low socioeconomic status. As recommended by this study policy intervention and livelihood programs may be initiated to improve school quality for children most especially from disadvantaged or low socioeconomic status families.
This study is going to determine the level of customer satisfaction on online banking services Operated by domestic and foreign commercial banks in Malaysia. The banks Included in this study are Maybank, Public Bank, RHB Bank, Ambank, UOB, Standard Chartered, and HSBC etc. The customer satisfaction of online banking services will be determined by using primary and secondary data whereby for primary data questionnaires will be distributed randomly to the general users of online banking services in Malaysia. The outcomes of this study will show the evidence of customer satisfaction and that will help the banks to determine the most influencing dimensions in determining customer satisfaction. scorpion bites represent a major public health problem in many countries, particularly in North Africa and Sahelian Africa. In Algeria, scorpion envenomation is a tangible problem due to the morbidity and mortality it induces. The neurotoxic and cardiotoxic effects of the two common species in Algeria Androctonus australis hector and buthus occitanus, determine the severity of the clinical signs. The objective of the work is to determine the clinical characteristics of scorpion envenomation in children admitted to pediatric intensive care unit at the Oran University Hospital Establishment November 1st during the year 2017-2018, through two clinical observations that presented with acute cardiogenic lung edema, the development of which was fatal in 1 child.
This research is aimed to examine and analyze the effect of earnings management, income smoothing, fraudulent financial reporting on firm value with independent commissioners as the moderating variable. The population in this research were all State-owned enterprise listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2016-2019, totaling 20 companies. The sample selection technique used was purposive sampling. Total observations for 4 years were 80 company financial statements met the purposive sampling criteria so that all populations are sampled. The results show that: first, earnings management has a negative effect on firm value. Second, income smoothing has a positive effect on firm value. Third, fraudulent financial reporting has a negative effect on firm value. Fourth, independent commissioners weaken the effect of earnings management on firm value. Fifth, independent commissioners weaken the efffect of income smoothing on firm value. Sixth, independent commissioners weaken the effect of fraudulent financial reporting on firm value. This study therefore examines the influence of parenting styles and demographic factors on anti-social and aggressive behaviour among adolescents in selected secondary schools in Abeokuta, Nigeria using social learning theory and behavioural theory, with the use of ex-post facto research design. The study uses random sampling technique to select 484 adolescent secondary school students as its participants. Using a questionnaire comprising the Aggressive behaviour scale developed by the researcher and the15-item Parenting Style Inventory Scale (PSI) developed by Darling and Toyokawa (2001), the study shows a significant positive relationship between authoritative parenting style and antisocial behaviour (r = .19, p<.01) and there was significant inverse relationship between authoritarian parenting style (r = -.22, p<.01; among other findings. The study posits that good parenting style is effective in reducing antisocial and aggressive behaviour. The effect of the novel coronavirus disease across the globe is ravaging both the economy and social well-being of the people. The disease seems not to be over as World Health Organization (WHO) is reporting new cases on daily basis, indicating that the affected countries need to learn to live with the disease. It therefore behooves on researchers to develop prediction models to predict the trend of the infection. This work analyses comparatively four (4) machine learning (ML) models; One-Class Support Vector Machine (OC-SVM), Isolation Forest (I-Forest), Minimum Covariance Determinant (MCD) and Local Outlier factor (LOF) for the prediction of COVID-19 cases using dataset from kaggle.com. The dataset is unbalanced as class distribution of the training (70%) and test (30%) sets were computed to be 91% positive 9% negative cases and 96% positive 4% negative cases respectively, which makes the dataset suitable for use in one class classification, hence the choice of the predictive models used in this work. The dataset was preprocessed using One-Hot encoding to convert categorical data such as fever, cough, chills, fatigue, body pain, malaise, diarrhea, nausea, weakness, sneezing, runny-nose, breathing-difficulty, headache, and sore-throat to numerical data. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was employed for dimension reduction. After the training, the performances of the four models were evaluated using Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score on the training and test dataset. Finally, the F1-Score was used as the bases for best model selection (model with the highest F1-Score) since it takes into account, both the negative and positive classes. Isolation Forest (I-Forest) with F1-Score of 0.822133 for training and 0.918464 for testing turned out to be the best model among others for the prediction of COVID-19. The model is therefore capable of predicting COVID-19 cases with higher accuracy thereby helping to drastically curb the spread of COVID-19. The system was implemented using the python programming language on a Pycharm integrated development environment.
The potential of Ipomoea setosa Ker. Gawl. seed extract to control some biological activities was evaluated using standard procedures with slight modification. Specifically, the study identified the secondary metabolites present and evaluated the anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer activity of the seed methanolic extract. The presence of alkaloids, anthraquinone, flavonoids and catecholic tannins were detected in the extract. The total phenolic content is 5.55 ± 0.23 mg GAE/g sample while the total flavonoid content is 1.56 ± 0.06 mg QE/g. I. setosa Ker. Gawl. seed extract has 21.43 ± 6.48% inhibition of albumin denaturation and 73.79 ± 2.69% inhibition relative to Kortezor (positive control). The seed extract showed a highly significant higher free radical scavenging activity (80.54 ± 0.58%) compared to ascorbic acid (70.87 ± 0.64%). Relative to the radical scavenging activity of ascorbic acid (100.00%), the seed extract showed a 113.10 ± 0.99% inhibition. Furthermore, I. setosa Ker. Gawl. seed extract has a high potential against HCT-116 colorectal carcinoma cell line. Based on the results, it can be concluded that I. setosa Ker. Gawl. seeds can be potential anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anticancer agent.
Purpose This qualitative study described and compared the private sectarian single-sex and mixed-sex schooling as stakeholders’ lived experiences illuminate the commonalities and differences of these two types of schooling and their impacts on the 21st century holistic formation. Design/methodology/approach A single question, “what can you say about your elementary and secondary schools’ formation, and training?” guided the interviews and personal journals. Stakeholders of comparable elementary and secondary private schools (n = 266) having prior experience in both single-sex and mixed-sex schools consented to participate in the study. Manual coding, R-studio software-generated wordcloud, member checking, and peer review were utilized in data processing and analysis. Findings Single-sex and mixed-sex private sectarian schooling nurture holistic formation for academic discipline and excellence, social awareness and responsibility, character building, spiritual-religious, and moral values. Stakeholders’ lived experiences showed the different impact of these two types of schooling on advocacies, and on the 21st century schooling. Findings suggest that religious sectarian schools whether single-sex or mixed-sex posed with the challenge of revisiting tradition, and vision-mission for their alignment to the sustainable development goals for quality education and life-long learning, while remain firm and steadfast in adherence to morals and religious formation. Originality/value Deeper understanding of the schooling experiences illuminates the emerging phenomena of single-sex and mixed-sex schooling, unique and similar holistic formation indicators, and the challenges of tradition alongside the 21st century schooling. Introduction :Acute renal failure (AKI) is a frequent complication in the intensive care unit and represents a major factor in morbidity and mortality. The diagnosis of AKI is important; its prognosis depends on the initial aetiology and early management, made possible by the progress made in the treatment of this condition, represented by current methods of extra-renal replacement. In children, two etiologies dominate: AKI secondary to renal hypo perfusion, and hemolytic and uremic syndromes (HUS). However, the possible causes are multiple, especially in older children, in whom certain etiologies are only recognized through careful investigation. The objective of this study is to determine the etiological aspects of AKI in pediatric and neonatal intensive care unit at EHU Oran Material-methods: Retro-prospective study of the files of children admitted for ARI from May 2017 to October 202. The patients were classified according to the RIFLE classification Results: 66 boys and 10 girls. Average age = 45.26 months (extreme 5 days-15 years) the newborns number 06 of the workforce The pathological history was sought to detect possible areas of risk and areas of comorbidity. They were presented as follow to try to find the etiologies of ira, of which 77% reveal acute tubular necrosis .Different therapeutic means have been initiated for symptomatic or etiological depending on the causal involvement Conclusion :AKI is a diagnostic and therapeutic emergency, the prognosis of which depends closely on the cause and the initial management. In intensive care, AKI is most often multifactorial and The most common cause of AKI is acute tubular necrosis of ischemic and septic origin .Overall, renal survival could be improved by preventive measures and adequate management.
The following research presents the impact that occurred between language variations and the development of Compression in third year university students. The objective of this research was to study the relationship between language skills and reading comprehension. The sample consisted of 82 students, 24 males (29%) and 58 females (71%), from the education career: Bachelor's Degree in English Oriented to Teaching. In a correlational methodological design, it was detected that linguistic skills, in the phonological, lexical, morphological and syntactic level are significantly related to the understanding of the text (literal knowledge, inferential knowledge and global understanding)
Nowadays, in our country design of modern an architectural building structure requires the use of slender and free from numerous supports slabs. The most suitable solution for above requirements is the post-tensioned slabs with bonded tendons. Slabs prestressed by bonded tendons are successfully used worldwide for several decades. During that time many recommendations dealing with the forming of geometry and prestressing, dimensioning and erection technology were issued. During the recent years Post-Tensioned (PT) method is a widely used technique to prevent cracking and to minimize the deflection which is resulted by loads. In this method, stress is applied after concrete placing and reaches adequate hardening and strength. In spite of designed the slabs significantly larger and slenderer than the recommended maximum value of span and span to depth ratio, the deflection of the slabs is definitely far from the limit value. This thesis investigates the detailed flexural behavior analytical investigation of specific long span post tension two-way concrete slab under flexural loading. ANSYS non-linear finite element analysis software is used to develop full scale 3D two way post tensioned concrete slab model to investigate the flexural behavior of long span PT slab with specific number of tendons and the applied load on the concrete two-way slab. Further, a parametric study will conduct to investigate the effect of tendons layout and span length on the overall behavior of post -tensioned two-way concrete slab.
