Before You Start

Key requirements to check before preparing your manuscript

Original & Unpublished Work

Submissions must be entirely original, unpublished, and not currently under review by any other journal or conference. Duplicate submissions are grounds for immediate rejection.

Use the Official GSJ Template

All papers must be formatted using the official GSJ manuscript template (available above). This ensures consistency and faster processing by the editorial team.

English Language

Manuscripts must be written in clear, grammatically correct English. Authors are strongly encouraged to have their paper proofread before submission to avoid delays.

Plagiarism Check

Ensure your manuscript has a similarity index of 20% or below. The editorial team may request a Turnitin or iThenticate report. Papers with excessive similarity will be rejected without review.

Abstract & Keywords

Include a structured abstract of 150โ€“250 words covering the objective, methodology, key findings, and conclusions. Provide 4โ€“6 relevant keywords for indexing.

Copyright Form

A completed and signed copyright transfer form (available above) must be submitted alongside your manuscript. Submissions without this form cannot be processed.

Submission Categories

GSJ accepts four types of scholarly submissions

Original Research Articles

Full-length papers presenting new, original findings with complete methodology, results, and discussion. Typically 6โ€“20 pages.

Survey & Review Articles

Comprehensive reviews of a specific research domain, summarizing existing knowledge and identifying gaps or future directions.

Fast Communications

Short papers (4โ€“6 pages) reporting significant, time-sensitive findings or preliminary results from ongoing research projects.

Technical Notes

Brief descriptions of new methods, tools, software, datasets, or technical observations relevant to a research field.

Not sure which category fits your work? Select "Original Research" when in doubt โ€” the editorial team will advise if a different category is more appropriate.

Manuscript Formatting

Follow these specifications for proper formatting

Font & Size

Times New Roman, 12pt for body text. Section headings in 14pt bold. Sub-headings in 12pt bold.

Spacing & Margins

Double-spaced throughout. Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides. Paper size: A4 or US Letter.

Paper Structure

Title โ†’ Authors & Affiliations โ†’ Abstract โ†’ Keywords โ†’ Introduction โ†’ Methodology โ†’ Results โ†’ Discussion โ†’ Conclusion โ†’ References.

Citation Style

Use APA (7th edition) or IEEE citation format consistently throughout the entire paper. Mixed citation styles will be returned for correction.

Figures & Tables

All figures and tables must be numbered, titled, and referenced in the text. Figures should be at least 300 DPI. Embed all visuals in the document.

File Format

Submit in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format using the official GSJ template. PDF submissions are not accepted for initial review.

Supplementary Material

Additional files published online alongside your article

GSJ supports multimedia and supplementary content that enriches the published article but is too large or unsuitable for the main document. Accepted supplementary formats include:

Video files (.mp4, .avi)
Audio files (.mp3, .wav)
Large datasets (.xlsx, .csv)
Source code (.zip, .py, .m)
3D models & animations
High-res images (.png, .tiff)

Supplementary files should be emailed to the editorial team after submission, quoting your Paper-ID in the subject line. Maximum file size: 50MB per file.

Peer Review Process

Transparent, rigorous, and fast โ€” typically 1โ€“3 business days

1

Initial Editorial Check

Upon submission, the editorial team checks formatting, scope, plagiarism, and completeness. Papers failing this check are returned immediately with feedback.

Within 24 hours
2

Double-Blind Peer Review

Papers passing the initial check are assigned to 2โ€“3 subject-matter expert reviewers. Both author and reviewer identities are concealed throughout this stage.

1โ€“3 Business Days
3

Review Decision

Authors receive one of four decisions: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject. Each decision comes with detailed reviewer comments.

Decision Communicated
4

Revision & Resubmission

If revisions are requested, authors should address all reviewer comments and resubmit within the requested timeframe along with a point-by-point response document.

As Required
5

Acceptance & Proof

Upon final acceptance, authors receive a publication proof for review. The publication fee is confirmed at this stage. Authors must approve the proof within 48 hours.

Paper Accepted
6

Publication & Indexing

The paper is published in the current monthly edition, assigned a EOI, made open-access, and submitted for indexing across all GSJ partner databases.

Published & Indexed

Rights, Permissions & Licensing

Understanding your rights as a GSJ author

GSJ holds the right to submit published work for indexing in global academic databases including Google Scholar, Citefactor, ORCID, and others to maximise reach.

Reuse & Revenue

All financial benefits and commercial reuse requests related to the published research are directed solely to the original author(s), not to GSJ.

Self-Archiving

Authors may post their accepted or published manuscript on their personal website, institutional repository, or academic networks such as ResearchGate and Academia.edu.
