EXCHANGE RATE FLUCTUATION AND ECONOMIC GROWTH IN NIGERIA: AN EMPIRICAL INVESTIGATION []

The study investigated the impact of exchange rate on economic growth in Nigeria. Annual time series data were obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria Statistical Bulletin for the period 1986 to 2018 on the variables used for the study. Unit root test was conducted using Augmented Dickey-Fuller test technique and the result showed that the variables were stationary though at different levels. Co-integration test was also conducted using Johansen co-integration test method and the result showed that the variables in the model were co-integrated meaning that the variables have a long run relationship. The regression result showed that exchange rate, consumer price index and money supply have a positive and significant impact on the economic growth of Nigeria The R-squared value showed that about 99.7 % of the total variations in the dependent variable was explained by changes in the explanatory variables The error correction result showed that the speed of adjustment to long run equilibrium is 66.15 percent when any past deviation must be corrected in the present period. The result of the granger causality test showed that there is a unidirectional relationship between exchange rate and economic growth, unidirectional relationship between consumer price index and economic growth and unidirectional relationship between money supply and economic growth. Based on the findings it was recommended that government should ensure that serious efforts are being made to stabilize exchange rate. Moreover, government should formulate and implement policies that will boost the productive capacity of the economy

Environmentally Friendly Fish Cultivation Profitable Aquaponic System: A review []

Catfish farming activities today have experienced many developments in terms of innovation to support the production targets achieved, but few farmers pay attention to the effects on the environment. The system commonly used is the aquaponics system, aquaponics is an integrated system between hydroponics and aqua systems, the goal is to maintain fish and plants in a circulating environment with an interconnected system. Plants that are often used in aquaponics are vegetables. Aquaponic plants are very suitable if they can absorb water-soluble nutrients such as kale, cabbage, and lettuce. The principle of this aquaponic system is that vegetables can reduce and utilize organic material from the metabolic waste of farmed fish. Ammonia in the waters comes from fish metabolic waste dissolved in water, fish feces, and from fish food and settles at the bottom of the aquaculture pond. Keywords: Aquaculture, Catfish, Vegetables, Aquaponic.

Effect of climate change in Afghnistan []

Abstract: Climate change and its effects on human life have become one of the major research priorities and have seriously affected human life. Climate change is one of the most important challenges facing humanity in the current century, and its effects seem to be very severe in Afghanistan, especially in the agricultural sector. The climate of a region such as temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, wind, rainfall, seasons “climate change “and the other metrological characteristics affect more than just a change in the weather; attributed to the relatively long period of time. These climates changes have fundamental role in shaping natural ecosystems, human economies and cultures that depend on them. A change in climate can affect for example; human activities (health, education, economics, livelihood income), agriculture forming, (soil fertility and soil degradation, plants production, species of plants), animals live, (food production, food security, biodiversity) and availability and use of water resources (ground water and surface water). Furthermore, most of plants are pollinated by wind, birds and insects, if during pollination of plants a change in the timing of raining or temperature happens, some of these birds, and insects might due to climate change have to travel from one place to another place. Short-term climate change is natural and it will have less negative impacts, but long-term climate change, such as successive droughts can have long time negative effects

Energy = (11/14) frequency []

Sun light is a portion of the electromagnetic radiation given off by the sun. It consists of the infrared light , the visible light and the ultraviolet light. A photon is a quantum of electromagnetic energy. Photon is also a particle of light. Photoelectrons are released from a material when it absorbs some electromagnetic radiation .The motion of photons is worked according to the law, Action = Reaction + Absorption . If 1 part of the photons fall on the metal then simultaneously (3/14) part of the photons are absorbed in the metal and the rest (11/14) part of the photons combine with the electrons of the metal to be ejected as photoelectrons. The energy is the ability of a body to do the work .The work done is the measure of the kinetic energy of the body .The kinetic energy of a body is the energy possessed by the body by virtue of its motion .The work is said to be done by a force acting on a body such that the body is displaced actually in any direction except in a direction perpendicular to the direction of force. Energy = Work done = Force * displacement Rotation is motion and vice versa. If a force is applied on a wheel and that force simultaneously converts to the centripetal force as well as the centrifugal force then the wheel moves forward. So every point of the wheel rotates and moves vertically on a curved path to cover horizontally on a straight line path. The following laws are derived from the above facts , LAW OF MOTION ----------------------- Nrusingh’s 1st law (a) INERTIA OF REST : A body is at rest, until the applied force on it , converts to the centripetal force as well as the centrifugal force (b) INERTIA OF MOTION : A body is at motion, as long as the applied force on it , converts to the centripetal force as well as the centrifugal force The following law is derived from Nrusingh’s 1st law THE FORCE OF ACTION IS ALWAYS EQUAL TO THE SUM OF OPPOSITE REACTION AND ABSORPTION ------------------------ Nrusingh’s 2nd law This implies that, 14 PARTS ACTION = 11 PARTS REACTION + 3 PARTS ABSORPTION So 1 part action = (11/14) part reaction + (3/14) part absorption The following laws are derived from Nrusingh’s 2nd law FORCE = (11/14) MASS * ACCELERATION ----- Nrusingh’s 3rd law ENERGY = (11/14) MASS (VELOCITY OF LIGHT)² ---- Nrusingh’s 4th law PRESSURE * VOLUME = (11/14) TEMPERATURE ---- Nrusingh’s 5th law PRESSURE = (11/14) FORCE/AREA ---- Nrusingh’s 6th law where (11/14) is the constant of proportional IF 14 PHOTONS FALL ON THE METALLIC SURFACE THEN SIMULTANEOUSLY 3 PHOTONS ARE ABSORBED AND 11 PHOTOELECTRONS ARE EJECTED FROM IT THE ENERGY OF PHOTOELECTRIC EFFECT IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO THE FREQUENCY OF THE WAVES OF PHOTONS Energy = (11/14) frequency

Financial markets are in depth examined for its overall understanding and raison d’être. The insightful points of this essay are considered at its various and relevant components that are the stated chapters known as what are financial markets all about? Their various structure, instruments being used as well as the given shareholders operating within. Our curiosity also extended to establish the relationship between financial markets and the development process. Later on, we discovered that financial markets existence and development in the global economy is dependent on the milestone of financial theories regarded as the scientific interpretation of the various functioning of financial markets components and actors. As nothing on earth is perfect financial markets are facing serious challenges that we manage to present in the internal and external aspects. We forwardly led our refection by looming the horizons in presenting future prospects and relevant recommendations that are critical to assure global financial markets development. But apart from the fact financial markets are considered a bold tool for financial deepening, financial inclusion, and financial sector development as a whole particularly in high- income countries. But the task is still tedious for those low-income countries to reap the benefits of financial markets development on their own grounds since many sound economic and financial policies and appliances are still awaited in the aim of witnessing effective economic growth and prosperity.

Ph.D Essay - Developmental Finance []

The quest of economic development and prosperity has led world economies to mobilize financial resources within economic sectors where opportunities are available. These financial resources are flowing out within the handling framework of financial institutions. The specific topic of the governance of financial resources from an economic development perspective is hardly addressed in textbooks and do not consider finance as a significant theme. For effective human development and poverty alleviation across the globe, Development Finance with its multilevel role stands and remains a critical theme requiring further attention (Stephen Spratt 2009). Finance as a management discipline seeks for maximizing private returns with financial operations related to known and unknown risks. But a more socially desirable flow or allocation of financial resources is critically required. This is a focal point of Development Finance discipline (P. K. RAO 2003). This paper is seeking to provide a comprehensive insight of Development Finance topic by pointing out what is all about (Chapter I); coming out with the internal sources of development Finance(chapter II); the interdependent relationship that could be derived from the financial development and economic development(chapter III). The issue between Finance and Sustainable Development (chapter IV) should not be put aside. Furthermore, examining Development Finance perspectives (chapter V) is quite pertinent to take a look about the horizons that the discipline is looming ahead. A debate could be raised about how far could Development Finance go? (chapter VI). Our discussion will also be carried out in the extent of analyzing essential achievements of Development Finance (chapter VII). After such a straightforward discussion a conclusion will be welcome to underline the main issues and critical points that any rational economic agent should apply in the aim of enhancing Development Finance bigger challenges such as social inclusion, human development, financial sector stability and development, sustainable development and poverty alleviation.

In view of these, the research sought to quantify the nature of relationship between Loan Assessment and Food Security in Nigeria. This study was anchored on the Structural Change Theory by Lewis Arthur in the year 1954 as framework. The study adopted correlational survey to establish what relationship exists between two or more variables while only secondary data. The study utilized the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method of analysis. This statistical tool seeks to establish the strength or degree of association between the dependent and independent variables. The findings of the study revealed that there was a significant positive relationship between Loan Assessment and Food Security in Nigeria. And concluded that easy access of agricultural credit through loans and subsidies greatly improves food production through food availability, food assess and food utilization in Nigeria since the coefficients of loan assessment on food security shows a significant positive relationship. In line with the conclusion, the study recommended that more loan facilities and grants should be extended to the agricultural sector by the federal government, state government, various agricultural institutions like the Bank of Industry (BOI), Nigerian Agricultural Credit and Rural Development Bank (NACRDB), African Development Bank (AfDB), etc to sustain the increase in food production in Nigeria.
