Social Anxiety and Work Self-Efficacy of Personnel in the Department of Education, Division of Zamboanga del Norte Amidst the Novel Corona Virus Disease (NCOVID-19) Pandemic []

People at present are experiencing a nationwide lockdown and put themselves under the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) for the first time. It causes discomfort while at home and keeping updates regularly from social media and television. This Novel Corona Virus Disease (NCOVID) pandemic harms lives because even during the writing of this study, the vaccine is still unavailable for treatment. The greatest challenge to surpass this terrible situation will need full cooperation and follow the government’s orders without complaint. One action that ultimately responded to this effect is the cancellation of works in all schools, both public and private, at all levels—enjoining DepEd personnel to observe ECQ and keeping themselves all the way safe and vigilant. However, they demonstrated social anxiety, but it never stops them from working efficiently. Among the everyday social tensions, there were two ultimately showed extremely experienced. On the other part, the list of work self- efficacy also recorded two excellent while others are above average. The relationship between social anxiety and work self-efficacy for teaching personnel showed not significant, while non-teaching substantially related to each other. Meaning, their association is relevant and observable. Finally, correlating the variables among the DepED personnel in the Division of Zamboanga del Norte found significant.

PURIFYING MICROPLASTIC POLLUTIONS IN WATERS WITH NANOMAGNETITES SYNTHESIZED FROM IRON OXIDE []

In our project, we aimed to remove the microplastics in the sea from the environment with magnetic particles prepared from rust containing iron and derivative compounds, to prevent the contamination accumulated in the body of the sea creatures from being transported to the people through the food pyramid and accordingly, to prevent the ecosystem from being damaged. Microplastics are plastic particles less than 5mm in length. It can become an invisible danger in water resources. The use of plastics in the world is common due to its physical and chemical properties. Microplastics cannot be retained in conventional waste-water treatment plants and are discharged uncontrollably to receiving environments. Therefore, microplastics accumulate in the tissues or organs of living things at important steps in the food chain. Considering the steel production in the Turkish iron and steel industry, it is estimated that approximately 9.9 million tons of slag is generated. The recycling of these industrial wastes is very costly. In our project, iron wastes have been used as raw materials in magnetic particle synthesis. Standard solutions containing microplastics were divided into 3 groups by preparing 100 ml solution from each polymer type (PEG, PAA, PVP) separately, 1% by mass. Groups synthesized in our laboratory we have obtained solution, standard magnetite and waste iron synthesized magnetite different amounts and added at different temperatures. The adsorbents were removed from the environment by mixing with an orbital mixer for 2 hours with the help of a magnet. The remaining solutions were analyzed by gas chromatography for the determination of the amount of polymer. In addition, the magnetite nanoparticle is non- toxic and synthesized from waste is among our reasons for preference as an adsorbent. Other advantages of these particles are that they will not be a problem in case of mixing with nature, and they can be used for purification in more than one time with the adsorption efficiencies provided by the high surface areas due to their size, as well as the magnetic separation. Considering the high adsorption properties of magnetite nanoparticles synthesized in laboratory conditions, when the analysis results are examined, it has been revealed that it can be an alternative to high cost reverse osmosis in the removal of microplastics in the seas.

INTRODUCING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK (ANN) TO CONTROL THE VSC-HVDC IN IMPROVING THE TRANSIENT STABILITY OF AJAOKUTA BUS IN THE NIGERIAN 330KV TRANSMISSION SYSTEM []

This work presents the application of intelligent Voltage Source Converter – High Voltage Direct Current(VSC-HVDC) for improvement of the transient stability of Nigerian 330kV transmission system. PSAT environment was the tool used to model Nigerian 330kV transmission system. The system load flow was also simulated. The eigenvalue analysis was done on the system buses to obtain the critical buses. In other to establish the current transient stability situation of the network, balanced three-phase fault was introduced in some of these critical buses and lines of the transmission network. This is observed through the dynamic responses of the generators in Nigeria 330-kV grid/network when the fault was introduced. This shows clearly that the Ajaokuta bus and Ajaokuta - Benin Transmission line within the network is critical among others. The load flow analysis confirmed that the system loses synchronism when the fault was applied to the identified critical bus and line. This shows that Nigeria 330-kV transmission system is running presently on a very bad state. Therefore, it urgently requires control measures that will be targeted at of enhancing the transient stability margin of the network to avoid total system shotdown. To this effect, VSC-HVDC was installed along to those critical lines. The inverter and the converter parameters of the HVDC were controlled by the conventional proportional integral (PI) method and artificial neural network. The results obtained showed that 42.86% transient stability improvement on the critical clearing time CCT was achieved when the HVDC was controlled with the ANN when compared to the PI controllers as can be seen by observing the dynamic response of the generators in the Nigeria 330-kV grid/network. Also when compared with the results of other similar works there is about 28.57% transient stability improvement. The result also shows that the system had a faster oscillation/damping when the ANN was applied. The voltage profile results of the Nigerian 40-bus 330kV transmission system with ANN Controlled VSC-HVDC installed between Ajaokuta to Benin bus after the occurrence of the fault as obtained from the power flow analysis in the network in PSAT environment at buses 1, 2, 13, 16, 31, 32 and 37 which were 0.905738, 0.909903, 0.922923, 0.919679, 0.941849, 0.919188 and 0.960770 as obtained previously when the VSC-HVDC was being controlled by the conventional PI method are now improved to 0.998421, 1.000000, 0.999275, 0.979914, 0.997805, 0.998835 and 1.000000 respectively. This is as result of the intelligent response of the VSC-HVDC in injecting adequate reactive power timely.

This research aims to determine the appropriate percentage of the addition of milkfish bone flour as a source of calcium to the donuts. The method used in this study was experimental with four fortified milkfish bone flour fortifications, namely treatment A (control), treatment B (2.5%), treatment C (5%), and treatment D (7.5%). The parameters observed consisted of chemical tests (calcium levels), physical tests (yield of milk bone meal, a yield of donuts, volume expanding donut), and hedonic tests (appearance, aroma, texture, taste). The results showed that milkfish bone flour fortification of 2.5% was the most preferred treatment. Based on the physical test of milkfish bone flour yield obtained is 39.85%, the expanding of donuts in the treatment of 2.5% respectively 50%, based on the chemical test donuts in the treatment of 2.5% have calcium levels 0.152%, based on the hedonic test obtained an average value of appearance 6.5, aroma 6.8, texture 7.0, and taste 8.2, and based on the Bayes test results obtained that the donuts with the addition of 2.5% milkfish bone flour obtained the highest alternative value of 8.13 and the most important criterion in the panelists' final decision in choosing donuts was the flavor with a weighting criteria of 0.566.

The Effect of Trade Union Activities on Employee-Performance; The Case of Ghana's Food and Drugs Authority []

This study assesses the effect of the activities of the trade union of Ghana’s Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) on employee-performance. Three objectives were developed to streamline the survey, the first of which was to identify the activities of the FDA from literature and from respondents (employees of the FDA). The second and third objectives were to determine the effects of trade union activities on employee performance and to identify the challenges and constraints of trade union activities within the FDA, respectively. Information was collected from FDA employees who are active members of the trade union. The FDA was selected purposively for the survey because of the presence of an active trade union within it. Information was collected from selected respondents who are active members of the trade union. Respondents mostly agreed that affiliated unions should be assisted to undertake collective bargaining on behalf of workers and that workers must be unionized under a united trade union movement. They also intimated that affiliated unions must support each other to lobby for improved wages, shorter work hours and create better working conditions. The majority of respondents also strongly agreed with the assertion that the trade union protects members from victimization. Communication between management and employees, as fostered by the trade union, was seen to have the most significant effect on employee-performance. Challenges identified as being detrimental to the running of the trade union include unfavourable government interference, lack of cooperation among union members, high records of nominal membership and low productivity. Lack of equitable participation of employees in management and lack of membership-drive were ranked as the most pressing constraints of the activities of the trade union. The study recommends that government must ensure the autonomy of the trade union, unions must ensure the security of workers and effective communication should be encouraged between management and employees.

The Association of five microRNA polymorphisms with breast cancer risk in Asian Population: evidence from published literatures []

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNA molecules, which participate in diverse biological processes and may regulate tumor suppressor genes or oncogenes. Several case–control studies and meta-analyses have investigated the association between breast cancer risk and common single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in miRNAs. However, the inconsistent results were reported. The aim of the present meta-analysis is to investigate this inconsistency, especially in Asian populations. A systemic literature search inclusive to December 2019 yielded a total of twentyOne potentially relevant articles withe thirty-eight eligible studies concerning the association of miR-146a rs2910164 G>C, miR-499 rs3746444 A>G, miR-27a rs895819 A>G, miR-423 rs6505162 C>A and miR-608 rs4919510 C>G with breast cancer risk in Asian populations. The final meta-analysis was conducted for elven studies concerning rs2910164, ten studies concerning rs3746444, seven studies concerning rs895819, five studies concerning rs6505162 and five studies concerning rs4919510 gene polymorphisms with breast cancer in Asian populations. In the present meta-analysis, only the SNPs miR-499 rs3746444 G allele showed a borderline association with an increased breast cancer risk in Asian populations (OR=1.2, 95%CI: 1.00-1.45, P=0.055) and significant association in Chinese populations (OR=1.26, 95%CI 1.138 - 1.393, P=0.000). However, no associations were observed for other miRNAs gene polymorphisms in the overall population or the ethnic subgroups studied. This meta-analysis indicated that the miR-499 rs3746444 may contribute to the breast cancer susceptibility in Asians and especially in Chinese populations, suggesting its potential use as a genetic risk marker in this population, and may provide useful information for the early diagnosis and prevention of breast cancer. Farther large sample size and well-designed case-control studies are required to verify the risk identified in the present meta-analysis.

Design and Fabrication of a Mosquito Repellent Coil Machine []

Various methods like pest killer spray, soap, oil is used to prevent mosquitoes from transmitting diseases to human but out of all the listed methods a mosquito repellent coil is the most popular germicidal because of its disinfectant properties. The objective of this project is to develop a simple mechanism for the production of a mosquito repellent coil making machine. This machine works on pulley - belt mechanism. Spring is used to regain initial position of the punch rod. Specially designed mold is used to make coils. The machine imprints the spiral coil shape into the mixed chemicals to be used and there by forms a mosquito repellent coil. The basic chemicals used are cow dung, fragrance, and engine oil also this production rate may vary depending upon the thickness of the mixed chemical. It was found to be effective and efficient at a speed of 950 rpm and the stamping operations occurs per 4 seconds immediately the machine is put on. This machine is less expensive compared to other mosquito coil producing machine and is durable

Illuminative Perspectives on the Nexus between Mobility of Labour, Vocational Technical Education and Skills Development in Nigeria []

Employment related mobility is fast gaining attention both in integrated economies like Europe and for growing economies in Africa battling with migrant workers. It encompasses occupational mobility as well as geographical mobility. Mobility of labour has taken on a global dimension. This paper explores mobility of labour, its concept, classification and characteristics. The paper also reviews the nexus between labour mobility, skills development and technical, vocational education and training(TVET). The policy implications for TVET with respect to mobility of labour is discussed. Not all occupations being created by technology requires a degree. Formal training in the form of vocational technical training is enough to qualify one for job placement. This places great emphasis on vocational technical education as an integral programme for lifelong learning.Profound changes are occurring in technology, work tasks and work organisation, with equally profound implications for the future role of vocational education and training (VET) in Nigeria. The paper concludes that labour mobility in Nigeria is greatly influenced by the quality of skills possessed and the quality of training in TVET institutions influences occupational mobility. The paper recommends among others that Vocational technical administrators in Nigeria should work closely with industries in identifying skills trend and develop competency based curriculum to reflect industry skills demand.

Grid Codes Requirements for Wind Farms []

Increasing wind power penetration levels to the power systems of many regions and countries have led to the elaboration of specific technical requirements for the connection of large wind farms, usually as a part of the grid codes issued by the Transmission System Operators (TSOs). These requirements typically refer to large wind farms, connected to the transmission system, rather than smaller stations connected to the distribution network. The new grid codes stipulate that wind farms should contribute to power system control frequency and also voltage), much as the conventional power stations, and focus on wind farm behavior in case of abnormal operating conditions of the network (such as in case of voltage dips due to network faults). Grid code requirements have been a major driver for the development of WT technology

A Brief Overview on Explaining Prime Numbers []

Author: Mujtaba yawar Vice chancellor of Science and Students Affairs, Panjshir Higher Education, Panjshir– Afghanistan Assistant professor at mathematics department, Faculty of Education Email: mujtabayawar99@gmail.com Mobile: +93 744007071 Key words Gold batch’s conjecture, Infinity, Merssene numbers, Prime numbers, Sequence of prime numbers, Vinogradoff’s result. Abstract The prime numbers in the set of integers are explained in an irregular manner and so far no general formulas that can produce prime numbers have been received. Therefore, the demonstration of a big prime number is a big issue in number theory, which is important for a key of cryptography. In this paper first some important theorems which gives a brief idea regarding prime numbers are stated. Then the function or relation that generate prime numbers has been discussed in clear details.

What are the police responses to severity of cybercrime for victim's safety and security? []

This study explored police responses to severity of cybercrime with a systematic literature review. After searching Scopus and ASSIA databases, 111 articles were thematically analyzed to find police responses to cybercrime. While most of the articles were originated from Anglo-American region (n=85), maximum articles followed empirical research (53.16%), and cyberbullying was common of different cybercrimes. In response to scamming, fraud and hacking, detectives are predominantly working in the cyberspace. School resource officers, especially in USA and Canada, are responsible to maintain code and conducts of the schools for students who commit cyberbullying in the school premises. Australian police adopt 'victim-oriented approach' to respond online fraud, where they use financial intelligence to identify advance fee fraud and romance fraud victims. In particular, police respond to cybercrime through investigation, detection and intervention by adopting 'target hardening’, collect intelligence from 'fusion centers’, and 'special unit' to secure online theft victimization. Besides, 'Story telling', 'three stage investigative models', 'Korean Desk' and public-private cooperation were identified as investigation strategies. However, police officers cannot patrol in cyberspaces, even though supranational police organizations are active to control cybercrime. Police officers believed that awareness amongst the youth is the key response to cybercrime. Furthermore, this research on police response to cybercrime will enrich existing literature, but not beyond limitation of empirical observation. This will impact future research endeavor in the field.

UTILIZATION RATE OF CORAL TROUT (PLECTROPOMUS LEOPARDUS) USING BOTTOM TRAPS (BUBU) IN BELITUNG, BANGKA BELITUNG PROVINCE []

One of the most commonly used fising gear in PPN Tanjungpandan is a trap. Bubu is a passive fishing gear. Bubu catches generally demersal fish and reef fish. Coral trout is a type of common consumption fish. Coral trout is an economically important demersal fish caught by fishermen in Belitung. This can be seen from the amount of production of coral trout from 2012 to 2016 is quite high with the highest production value in 2013 reaching 89,516 kg. This research aims to estimate the sustainable potential and level of utilization of coral trout in Belitung waters. This research was conducted in April - May 2019 at the Tanjungpandan Archipelago Fisheries Port (PPN), Belitung , Bangka Belitung Islands. The method used in this research is a survey method and analyzed descriptively quantitative. The sustainable potential of catching coral trout in Belitung waters shows that it is still below the MSY value graph because the effort of catching and producing fish to the CPUE value gives a positive value on the b (slope) value. The highest CPUE value is 1879.48 kg / trip in 2018 and in December it becomes the highest average each year which is 81.88 kg / trip. The value of utilization level is not obtained because the sustainable potential is still below the MSY graph so it is still said to be underfishing or in other words the lack of production value for the effort to catch Coral trout in Belitung waters.

MHD Analysis of Casson Fluid through a Vertical Porous Surface with Chemical Reaction []

Casson liquid stream over a vertical permeable surface with a synthetic response within the sight of an attractive field has been contemplated. Similarity investigation was utilized to change the arrangement of unfinished differential conditions portraying the issue into customary differential conditions. The decreased construction was illuminated utilizing the Newton Raphson shooting strategy close by the Forth-request Runge-Kutta calculation. The outcomes are introduced graphically and in an unthinkable structure for different domineering parameters. The impact of physical constants resembling Casson liquid (β), Magnetic parameter Μ, Soret number Sc, Prandtl number Pr, Magnetic Prandtl number, and so forth., on the instigated attractive field, temperature and speed are investigated. An attractive perception of this examination is that the impact of velocity appropriation complies with the physical consideration of notable Newtonian and all other Non-Newtonian liquids.

Cigarette Smoking Frequency among Medical students in PunjabPakistan. []

ABSTRACT Smoking is dangerous to effect performance of medical students and has bad effects on socioeconomics of the whole family. The researches planned to visit medical students of Pakistan and narrow down the area of medical colleges in Punjab and had exercised mix methodology to find out smoking bad effects. Data were collected by questionnaires, interviews and discussions by teachers and students. The selected data were analyzed in a software called (SPSS).Both qualitative and quantitative methods were applied. It is observed that severe cough is the most dangerous for lungs in smoking after effects , Oral cavity and blackening of teeth should be avoiding by refrain smoking. Medical students study demands good health and concentration with devotion. It is recommended that Medical students may abide by smoking rules. After continuous smoking medical students health is on risk. Per-Day use of cigarettes has different types of injuries to lungs. One should avoid to smoke in the presence of family members One should try ever best to get rid of smoking. Smoking is harmful for health even if they are of highest quality. It is recommended by the researchers that physical exercise may play a role in affecting the likelihood of tobacco smoking by its impact of depression. In addition to physical activities in general (such as running ,swimming, playing basketball, volleyball, table tennis, etc.).Saying prayer is also complete and healthy exercise for body, mind ,enthusiasm and spirit. ‘Hepatitis B & C’Seroprevalence Among The Healthy Blood Donorsin, Sahiwal Pakistan []

ABSTRACT This study aimed at determining the seroprevalance of Hep B and C among the healthy blood donors in the region of Sahiwal. By obtaining the data we estimated the age, blood group and percentage of the cases of HBV and HCV from all the donations among the people of District Sahiwal. The design of our study was descriptive cross sectional study. : Blood donations of about 6 years period were studied to determine the prevalence of HBV and HCV seropositivity. Blood samples were collected from the donors along with their information of age, sex and blood group. . During the study period, a total of 39114 blood donors were screened for the presence of Anti-HCV and Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) using Immunochromatographic kit as per directions of the manufacturer company. HBV and HCV positivity, sex prevalence age prevalence and blood group prevalence were the research variables. The obtained data was analyzed and results for variables were noted as number and percentage. A total of 39114 donations were collected with an average of 6512 donations per year. Among these donors 99.99% were male. The age group of these donors was 16-60 years, with mean age of 23 years. Out of 39114 donors 467 were HBsAg and 1775 were anti HCV antibody positive. 30 donors were positive for both HBsAg and anti HCV antibodies. Incidence of HBC and HCV was among all the blood groups but positive blood groups shoed maximum prevalence. Because of high occurrence of the two main blood transmitted infections of Hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus in our population, it is necessary to screen all blood donors for both HBV and HCV infections and strict measures should be taken in selection of blood donors. Key Words: Blood donors, HBsAg , anti HCV, Hep B Hep C, ICT, incidence , seroprevalance,

DEVELOPMENT OF A RENEWABLE ENERGY MAP OF THE SOUTH WEST REGION OF CAMEROON: IMPLICATIONS FOR THE RURAL ELECTRIFICATION OF VILLAGES OF THE REGION []

Cameroon known as Africa in miniature is endowed with huge renewable energy potentials, with the South West Region inclusive. The entire country has a hydropower potential of about 55,200MW, second only to the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa. So far, its energy needs are met by 4.8% hydropower, no wind and solar. This energy capacity is insufficient to cover the entire country, the situation is even more deteriorating when narrowed down to the south west region, as a cross section of the region most especially rural areas have no access to electricity and even when they do, it is always accompanied with frequent power cuts. This power shortage worsens during the heart of the dry season when water level reduces, but alternatively, other sources of energy like solar power, wind and even Biomass are at their peak during this season and could conveniently supplement or completely substitute the hydro plant during such a period. Secondly, localities which are not connected to the grid can find solace in the implementation of this other sources of renewables. In order to assess and quantify these renewable resources, models where designed for the different resources for some locations (14 localities) which were carefully chosen making sure all the six divisions of the region were represented. To obtain meteorological data for the locations and further analyze them, the Homer Pro software tool, RETscreen Expert software and LabVIEW tool were used. By doing this, the dominant renewable resources for the south west region were identified and a renewable energy map drawn. Results show that, only three localities have a little wind potential and Akwaya has the highest solar potential with irradiance of ≈5kWh/m2/d while Buea the lowest with irradiance of 4.08kWh/m2/d. Hydro potentials was also identified and quantified in some locations not leaving out Biomass potential. Financial and Emission (GHG) analyses were done as well. This thesis ended with a conclusion and some recommendations.

Revisionary Postmodernism: Application to Sustainable Development in a Complex Adaptive System for solution []

Abstract A revisionary postmodern approach focusing a system which is complex and can permit different voices as well as dissenting for contributing the future without privileging them. We are continuing to trash the planet and future sustainability could be under threat as human being. Sustainable development connects environmental, economic and social problems. Separation of man’s activity from typical to postmodernity may bring a positive change in social, economic and environmental realms. Planet Earth as a complex system, rational planning and analysis in a linear form are no longer seen as suitable. Postmodernism offers an exceptional path of observing the world along with the problem with an alternative approach. Modernism is criticized today as it is no more suitable to adopt it as a base for a change that has meaning. Revisionary postmodernism represents an accelerative route. How the use of postmodernism approach can make contribution for securing a more sustainable future is focused by it.
